Located near the historic market town of Hythe, the castle is a scheduled ancient monument with a Grade 1 listed manor house. It enjoys a rich history and has been connected to many notable figures throughout history, including Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I.

With weddings run by the exceptional team at Glow Events, The Castle Westenhanger is exclusively yours for your wedding day. Enjoy a choice of three stunning ceremony options, from the purpose-built thatched gazebo on the castle lawn, to our two indoor ceremony areas located in the castle. After the ceremony, toast your nuptials in our private bar before feasting on an unforgettable wedding breakfast in the marquee, with its views of the castle ruins and manor house.

You’ll love the endless photo opportunities that can be found at The Castle Westenhanger, including our ornate medieval dovecote lit up by candlelight. The Gazebo (Up to 120 Guests)

The Banqueting Hall (Up to 120 Guests)

With its exposed wooden beams, beautiful brickwork, and medieval windows, the former banqueting hall promises an unforgettable indoor wedding ceremony option.

The Gallery (Up to 80 Guests)

Also located within the castle is the gallery, our smaller indoor ceremony option perfect for an intimate wedding.

If you choose to hold your wedding ceremony in the gallery, you can sign your register by candlelight in the castle’s breathtaking dovecote.
