Introduction Welcome to Westenhanger, the site of a once noble fortified manor, a quadrangular castle once possessed by royalty, which has since endured a period of steady decline to near ruination. Let us take you on a tour to view the ancient remains and the conservation works carried out over a period of ten years. We will tell you of the owners through the ages who helped to shape English history. Westenhanger Castle's illustrious past is long gone and largely forgotten but by promoting it as a commercial enterprise it is hoped that it will become a more prominent part of Kent's past, present and future that will be enjoyed by many. We have a full calendar of events which we invite you to attend. |
